Welcome to Bear Valley Resident Camp!
Located in the Sierra National Forest, just off Highway 20 near the Yuba Gap. Bear Valley Resident Camp has been offering a rewarding
and life-changing camp experience for youth for over 30 years and strives to serve campers through-out Northern California, especially
from Yuba, Sutter, Placer, Nevada, El Dorado, Yolo and Sacramento counties. Camp offers children a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a rustic
wilderness setting.
Bear Valley Camp is devoted to educating children about the four core values of the YMCA: Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility, as well
as instilling them with self-confidence, social skills and giving them friendships that will last a lifetime.
CAMP INFORMATION:
CAMPERS, Ages 7-14
Looking for adventure this summer? YMCA Bear Valley Resident Camp is the ideal way to spend a week away from home.
Each week-long session comes packed full of adventure. During the week, explorers will participate in traditional resident camp
activities such as archery, campfire, and hiking. Each cabin will have up to 8 friends in your age range, plus you camp leader.

FAMILY CAMP, All Ages
Put down that cell phone, turn off that TV, and really come together as a family in a beautiful, natural setting.
YMCA Bear Valley Resident Camp is proud to announce our first family camp adventure. Bring the whole family for traditional resident camp activities
like campfire, arts & crafts, and hiking. Your family will bond and learn to work together with our team building activities. All activities will be lead by YMCA Bear Valley staff as you get to pick and choose what you and your family would like to participate in. Of course you are welcome to do
things at your own pace. Your family will stay together in a cabin and all meals will be provided.

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (C.I.T.), Ages 15-17
The YMCA Bear Valley resident Camp C.I.T. program is designed to turn older campers in caring,
responsible leaders at camp. C.I.T.
will enjoy two weeks at camp preparing for the challenges of future leadership positions.
Participants engage in team building activities and trainings that will develop their leadership skills. C.I.T. will leave their first week with a greater understanding of the leader they can be. When C.I.T.'s return for their second week, they will be volunteering
with cabins of younger campers for a hands-on experience. On their final day, all C.I.T's will come together for a celebration and completion
ceremony.
